Our company headquarters will relocate to Eschborn towards the end of 2026, and your primary workplace will transition to Eschborn accordingly.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Lead and further develop the General Ledger, Retail Accounting, and Consolidation & Reporting teams
- Ensure the proper preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB at both entity and group level
- Manage and ensure an efficient and timely closing process
- Oversee journal entries, accruals, provisions and period-end closing postings
- Ensure high quality of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Take responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes
- Act as the main point of contact for all group accounting and reporting-related topics
- Lead and manage finance projects, particularly in the areas of process optimization and automation
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB and internal policies and control systems
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Tax, Controlling and operational teams
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Identify and implement process improvements and continuously enhance accounting best practices
- Act as a sparring partner for management on operational and strategic topics
What you bring:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting or taxation
- Additional qualification (e.g. certified accountant) is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable leadership role in an international, process-driven environment
- Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, consolidation and the record-to-report process
- Very good knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Experience with shared service center environment is a plus
- Strong analytical and structured working style with a pragmatic approach
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams
- Confident communication skills across all levels
- Ability to adapt priorities in a dynamic environment
